Sue's background
 |
Since the age of 9 years old I have owned ponies, always
favouring the natural approach, they have lived out in sheltered large
paddocks, for the best part they have been barefoot and rugless. My
childhood riding consisted of Pony Club/Prince Philip Games, preferring
to ride in a halter and entering bare-back jumping competitions. As
on adult rider I focussed on Cross Country and Show Jumping and in
more recent times Long Distance Riding, getting consistently placed
in the top 7 in classes of up to 200 competitors. |
| For the past 12 years I have
fully committed myself to the study (both theory and practical) of
Horse and Human Behaviour. My primary teacher was Pat Parelli and
I was lucky to be taught directly by him when I was based in Australia.
To increase my learning. I organised and co-ordinated clinics for
Pat and his top Instructors, attending all of them. Returning to the
U.K. in 1999 I was asked to run the U.K. Parelli Office and Farm that
was based in Sussex and then I was employed to set up and run what
is now the Parelli Centre in the U.K., based in Devon. |

|
Since 2001 I have been self-employed and
teach my own style of Natural Horsemanship, the emphasis being on
soft yields in the mind and body. I teach around the country and
overseas and in my home county of Sussex I give demonstrations at
Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs.
